Kogi First Lady Distributes Food Stuff, Clothes, Monetary gift to widows

Wife of Kogi State State Governor, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo has called on Governments appointees and well to do individuals to join hands with Government for widows welfare.

Hajiya Sefinat stated this while distributing food stuff, clothes and monetary gift to widows at the government house in Lokoja.

She noted that it was unfair to neglect the interest of the Widows saying that the lost of a husband is hard so their needs shouldn’t be neglected and called on political appointees to support her husband to take care of the Widows.

The first lady noted that the food stuff, clothes and monetary distribution was part of her empowerment programme, aimed at providing relief to vulnerable women in the state.

Hajiya Sefinat urged widows to engage in gainful ventures and promised to remain supportive to alleviate their plight as mandated by Allah.

President Kogi State Widows care Association Ojene Ojata who described Hajiya Sefinat as a great mother who was ready to Carter for her children any time prayed God to continue to bless her and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Hajiya Fatima Momoh expressed delight on the Continuous support of the wife of the Governor to women and children and for providing them with tools for economic independence.

Kogi State Deputy speaker Comfort Unchola appreciated Hajiya Sefinat for her benevolence to Widows and women of the state and for giving them sense of belonging.

She decried the spate of struggles Widows are going through and urged them to take responsibility of their home seriously and Carter for their children for a better future.

Some of the beneficiaries Musa Habibat and Ruth Arugbemi apreciated the wife of the Governor for the gesture and promised to remain supportive of the present administration.
