The Kogi State House of Assembly has screened and cleared Mr. Ibrahim Sunday Abdulwaris as Chairman of the state Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Mr. Abdulwaris was screened during Tuesday plenary sitting of the House following his nomination by the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Tuesday last week sent a letter to the House seeking approval and confirmation of the House for his appointment.
Mr. Ibrahim Sunday Abdulwaris was asked to take a bow and go at the Committee of the Whole in view of his wealth of experience.
Speaker of the House, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, charged the new appointee to work hard and bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
The nominee in his remark, promised to bring his wealth of experience to bare in the discharge of his duty by providing necessary regulatory framework for both investors and customers.
