Kogi APC Inaugurates Screening And Appeal Committees For LG Polls

…..The committee is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that the party flies credible candidates in the Local Government election.

Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated  committees for the screening of party’s aspirants vying for various positions in the twenty twenty-four Local government council elections in the state.

Inaugurating the Screening and Appeal committee, the Kogi State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi said the essence of the committee was to scrutinize the credentials of aspirants from the three senatorial district of the state in line with the party guidelines put in place over the years by perusing information and documents contained in the Expression of interest forms and nominations forms.

Alhaji Bello charged them to be alive to their responsibilities devoid of any forms of bias in their assignments to attain overall victory at the council poll come October nineteen twenty twenty-four.

Speaking on behalf of members of the committee, the State Accountant General Hajiya Habibat Tijani appreciated the party for finding them worthy of the assignment and promised their overall commitment to the Party as they deliver the mandate given to them.

The Rector Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Professor Usman Ogbo said they will work together with one voice as they give each aspirant a level playing ground to exercise their constitutional rights to vote or be voted for.

The  committees are to each cover the three senatorial districts respectively, with Isah Taufiq in charge of Kogi East, Hajiya Habibat Tijani for Kogi west and professor Usman Ogbo for Kogi Central while Hajia Halima Alfa heads the appeal Committee of the screening.
