KGSG To Renovate Confluence Stadium in Lokoja-Monday Anyebe

The Kogi State Government says it will soon begin the renovation of the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, the state capital.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Monday Anyebe, made this known during the first edition of an aerobic exercise for civil servants and public officials across the state in Lokoja.

Mr. Anyebe said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo gave the directive for the stadium’s renovation after the National Sports Festival held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He explained that evaluations are already ongoing and assured that the stadium will be upgraded to meet international standards.

The Commissioner thanked Governor Ododo for his strong support for sports development in the state.

The Head of Civil Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi, praised participants for turning out in large numbers.

He promised that the aerobic exercise will continue regularly.

Dr. Evinemi also said civil servants will take part in more sporting activities to improve their wellbeing.

The Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Aliyu Salami, thanked the Head of Service and the Sports Commissioner for the initiative.

He said it will help improve the health and productivity of workers in the state.
