Kogi State Government is to construct Odenyi -Oguma-Sheria – Busau road in Bassa Local Government Area.
The Chairmanship flag bearer of All Progressive Congress in Bassa Local Government Area, Theophilus Daruwana Adama stated this during the Chairmanship flag off campaign and presentation of flags to Councillorship candidate at Oguma Head quarter of Bassa Local Government Area.
Mr Adama Commended The State Government for the ongoing Oguma Sheria Bridge and noted with satisfaction that the contract is near completion.
According to him he will build on the legacies of the All Progressive Congress Government in the area and Commended the massive turn out at the rally.
He called on the people to vote candidates of the All Progressive in the forthcoming Local Government Election.
Earlier The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in the area Mallam Abdulmumin Abdullahi praised defectors to the All Progressive Congress for their bold decision and pledged equal benefits for the new entrants.
According to him the flag bearer of the party Mr Theophilus Daruwana Adama possess capacity to pilot the Area to enviable heights and restore peace to the area.
In their separate speeches The Chairman of the APC campaign council, Alhaji Muktar Shaibu, The Board Secretary of Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Alhasan Adakeke and the Former commissioner of Commerce, Elder Paul Maiwada said what the Area need now is team work for the rapid development of the area.
Also speaking the Board Chairman of Kogi State College of Education Technical Kabba, Doctor Peter Tukura and the Director General of the campaign Council, Barrister Filex Jimba said Bassa Local Government is the home of All Progressive Congress and expressed confidence the candidates of the party will emerge victorious in next month’s Local Government Election.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors Prince Charles Daku said their actions is as a result of the transformation of the area by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Highlight of the the ceremony was the presentation of flags to Councillorship candidate for the ten ward of the local government.
