The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has distributer non-sensitive materials for election the Governorship election in Kogi state.
Distributing the materials in Lokoja, Kogi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Doctor Gabriel Hale-Longpet said the materials were received in good condition.
Doctor Hale-Longpet urged custodians of the material to ensure absolute integrity in managing them.
The INEC National Commissioner Representing Kogi, Kwara and Niger States, Professor Sani Adam stressed that the arrival of the materials was an indication that the Commission was prepared for the conduct of the election.
Professor Sani noted with satisfaction the distribution describing it as very transparent and fair.
Chairperson, Kogi NGOs Network (KONGONET), Idris Ozovehe, called on the people to vote enmass for the candidate of their choice and advised security agencies to avoid any form of intimidation.
Chief Executive, Connected Development, Hamzat Lawal urged Security Agencies to be alert at all times to keep away hoodlums interested in truncating the electoral process.
