The Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Barrister Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has presented a budget estimate of over six billion Naira (N6,418,433,610) to the Legislative Council of the Local Government.
Tagged “Accelerated Budget Of Renewed Hope” , the Budget was designed to give priority to security, Agriculture, Education, Health Services, Social inclusiveness (Human Development)and infrastructures.
Barrister Cosmas Atabor said the budget has Total Recurrent Expenditure of three billion, five hundred and forty six million, five hundred and thirty five thousand, two hundred and thirty Naira ).
He explained that Statutory Allocation (SRA) of three billion,two hundred and sixty seven million, four hundred and nine thousand, one hundred and thirty thousand Naira is expected in the fiscal year (N3,267,409,130) with Value Added Tax (VAT) of two billion, eight hundred and thirteen million, two hundred and sixty one thousand, three hundred and forty Naira (N2,813,261,340)
According to the chairman Special fund of over two hundred million Naira (N281,163,140) and Independent Revenue of over fifty six million (N56,600,000) are also expected to fund the budget.
Barrister Cosmas explained that the budget of Six billion, four hundred and eighteen million, four hundred and thirty-three thousand, six hundred and ten naira (N6,418,433,610) When passed by the Legislative Council will significantly fastrack the development of the area.
The Leader of the Legislative council Hon Ladidi Usman thanked the chairman ànd assured of speedy passage of the budget.
