Gov Ododo’s Special Adviser On Voters’ Education and Registration, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Gowon Jimoh ph.D Donates Bus For CVR Mobilisation

The Special Adviser on Voters’ Education and Registration to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Gowon Jimoh ph.D has donated a bus to Okene Local Government for the purpose of moving people from various ward to the INEC office for biometrics capturing in the ongoing Continuous Voters’ Registration exercise.

The Special Adviser on Voters’ Education and Registration, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Gowon Jimoh ph.D while donating the bus said the gesture is to enable people participate actively in the exercise.

“I am donating this bus to Okene Local Government to to convey people from other parts of the Local Government to ensure they participate in the exercise. This is also in compliance to the directive of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to all political appointees to mobilise eligible electorate to register in the ongoing Continuous Voters’ Registration” Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Gowon Jimoh ph.D stated.

The Special Adviser also inaugurated a five man committee on INEC Voters’ Registration and Education in Okene Local Government at Okene Local Government Secretariat.

He charged members of the committee to ensure proper mobilisation of people of Okene Local Government for the exercise.

“Your appointment into this onerous committee is a clarion call to duty to enable our people to come out in large numbers to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter’s Registration. This appointment is also a call to duty so that you will mobilise our people to ensure their active participation” The Special Adviser noted.
