Gov Ododo will Continue to Prioritize Kogi Workers Welfare – Edoka

The Special Adviser on Labour Matters to the Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Onuh Edoka says the present administration in the State will continue to prioritize the welfare of workers in the State.

Comrade Edoka stated this on Monday when he featured on this week’s edition of State of Kogi, a Radio Kogi Audience participatory programme.

According to the Special Adviser, most policies of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led administration have been workers friendly with social protection programme for people living with disabilities carried along.

He stated that the immediate implementation of minimum wage, tax relief on the wage, palliative to workers and payment of this year’s Leave Bonus among others are demonstrations of the genuine love of the Governor to workers.

Comrade Edoka stated that the Governor, who was once a Labour Leader has been promoting the rights of workers in line with the International Labour Congress standard.

He maintained that the government has sustained a harmonious working relationship with the organized labour, describing the provision of boreholes at the State Secretariat as commendable.

The State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Gabriel Amari, who phoned in on the Programme, noted that workers will support Governor Ododo beyond twenty-twenty seven.

While other callers, Tolu Omotugba appreciated the Special Adviser and the Governor for meeting the needs of Veterinary Doctors in the State, Comrade Segun Alemeru expressed optimism that Comrade Edoka will not disappoint the confidence reposed in him by Governor Ododo.
