Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has sworn in the management of the State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission as well as the Chairman, Commissioners and Secretary of the State Independent Electoral Commission.
The swearing in followed their appointment by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and confirmation by Kogi State House of Assembly.
Those inaugurated for KOSIEC are; Mamman Nda Eri Chairman, while Labaran Yahaya Ayigebe, Umar Makun Abdulmalik, Jamiu Abdulkareem, Achema Friday, Segun Ogbonika and Jimoh Ozigizigi Omeiza, while Muhammed Usman is Secretary.
The inaugurated persons for the Oil Producing Areas Development Commission are Suleiman Ndalaye, Chairman, Mr. Omonu Jackson James Managing Director and Matthew Kolawole, Executive Director Administration.
Other Executive Directors are; Isah Yakubu Jatto, Project, Usman Nda Mohammed, Social Service Development, Olori Michael, Finance, with Alhassan Obansa as representative of the Ministry of Justice while Suleiman Hamid is the Secretary.
Also, Anejodo Emmanuel Awuja representative of Anocha, Omattah Emmanuel Abuh from Odeke, Onema Edoja John, Ihile, Amajeh Felix Ele-ojo, Echeno and Aloguwja Utenwuojo from Obale were inaugurated as representative of host Communities.
Inaugurating the leadership of the two Commissions, Governor Ododo represented by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade charged them to put Kogi first in the discharge of their duty.
The Governor told the KOSIEC leadership to leave legacies that will stand the test of the time as his administration will ensure that they carry out their responsibility without fear or favour.
He charged the Management of the oil Producing Areas Development Commission to hit the ground running by taking clue from other State Oil Development Commissions towards achieving the lofty aims of establishing the Commission.
According to him, the State is blessed with natural resources including crude oil as the Federal Government has identified Kogi as an oil producing State, stressing the need for team work.
The reappointed Chairman of KOSIEC, Mr. Mamman Nda Eri, thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and promised to carry out their duty with fairness and transparency.
On his part, the Managing Director of Kogi State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Mr. Omonu Jackson James described their appointment and establishment of the Commission as a welcome development, promising not to disappoint the trust.
