GOV ODODO REITERATES COMMITMENT TO SECURITY

…says security remains the primary goal of his administration

Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has reiterated his commitment to security, saying his administration will continue to enforce a zero- tolerance to the safety of lives and property in the state.

The Governor who stated this during a chat with Vigilante Group and Professional Hunters in Lokoja, praised the Vigilante Group for their untiring and unwavering commitment to the security of Kogi State.

Governor Ododo thanked the Professional Hunters for putting their lives on the line to ensure the security of Kogi people, saying that the state is already reaping the huge investment in security.

He thanked the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and all the heads of security agencies for their support since he assumed office, saying their unflinching support has helped in stabilizing the security of the State.

The Governor thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for spotting a security czar like Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, saying the President’s talent spotting acumen has never been in doubt of the capacity of the president to appoint the best for the country.

Earlier the State Security Adviser, Retired Commander Jerry Omodara commended the Governor for his avowed commitment to security, saying his efforts are already pushing, criminals away from the state.

Retired Commarider Omodara thanked the Vigilante Group for their heroics, assuring the people that the state Government will continue to adopt “community-led security approach and thanked the President for appointing a czar. like Mallam-Nuhu Ribadu.

The leader of the Group, Professor, Abdullahi Yau said the Professional Hunters were encouraged by the commitment and support of the Governor of the State commended the Governor for his effort.

He assured the governor that the Group will continue to cooperate and collaborate with other security agencies to stamp out criminality from Kogi State.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Bethrand Onuoha thanked the Professional Hunters for living up to expectations and for cooperating with the conventional security-agencies to fight insecurity in the State.

The Professional Hunters numbering about 300 have been in the State for over two months to work with the security architecture on ground in the State. security approach”.
