Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has flagged off the Idah seven point two Kilometer Township road to improve transportation networks and boost economic activities.
The roads the Governor flagged off for construction include:Igala Ogba-Angwa Inachalo-Junction, Sabon Gari- St. Boniface-Ega Market,St.Michael -Ukwaja -St. Peters Road and Ukwaja Junction – Aliyu Attah – Idah Club roads.
The governor urged the people to protect and guide the project saying his administration is committed to improving road infrastructure in the state.
Governor Ododo said the aim is part of a broader infrastructure development plan aimed at enhancing road connectivity across the state.
The project is among several township road rehabilitation approved by the state governor for urgent attention, reflecting his administration commitment to improving transportation networks and boosting economic activities in the region
The contractor handling the project Engineer Yunusa Al Hassan said the four major roads to be constructed and rehabilitated is about 7.2 Kilometres including drainages to be completed within six months.
The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, along with other political office holders in Kogi East, joined the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for the flag-off of the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Idah township road.
The governor’s initiative to rehabilitate the Idah township road is a testament to his dedication to providing infrastructure and improving the lives of the people in the state. Upon completion, the road will improve the mobility of both people and goods in the area.
