A Vote of confidence has been passed on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the payment of the subvention arrears of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in kogi State.
The State Chairman of the Council Comrade Benjamin Ojodale Jeremiah stated this while receiving the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe to innaugurate office facility of the NYCN Council in Lokoja.
Comrade Benjamin Ojodale Jeremiah said the vote of confidence passed on the Governor was unanimous decisions of the leadership of the council for his support to the Youth in the state.
Comrade Benjamin Ojodale Jeremiah said the approved payment of subvention arrears of the council by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo necessitated the vote of confidence.
The State Chairman of the NYCN said the leadership of the council are happy with the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He said the payment has reduced some of the challenges of the council and expressed appreciation to the Governor for his leadership quality in the state.
Comrade Benjamin Ojodale Jeremiah said some of the Secretariat facility bought for the renovation was out of the subvention arrears paid to the council by the state Governor.
The State chairman of the NYCN thanked the state Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for being there for the Youths and expressed appreciation to the Governor for appointing a Youth Commissioner in person of Hon Monday A Anyebe to pilot the affairs of Youth in the state.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe said the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is Government of the Youth and for youths.
Hon Monday A Anyebe on behalf of the State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo restated the commitment of the Governor through empowerment of Youth in the state.
The Commissioner called on the people of the state to continue in their support for the present administration for more dividends of democracy in the state.
He enjoined the NYCN leadership in the state to leave in peace with one another as one Big family saying without peace no meaningful development can be achieved.
Some of the facility bought for the Secretariat are Generator and Table tennis kits.
