Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has charged all the Local government caretaker Transition Chairmen to collaborate with security agent in their domain to compact crime.
The governor gave the charge during a Security meeting with the Transition Chairmen in Lokoja.
Briefing Newsmen after the meeting the Governor said the purpose of the meeting is to hear from the chairmen about the security challenges in their various domain and find a lasting solution.
” I have been part of the system of my predecessor, as we all know the security of life and property is one of the priorities of the past administration and as Auditor General of the Local government I have never being left out of security management of our dear state” Ododo said.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo appreciated the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for finding him worthy to serve the state and promised to build and consolidate on his achievements.
He noted that the peace being witnessed In the state is as a result of the former governor’s achievements in the security sector and promised to build on the successes
“I want to assured you that there will be no hiding place for criminals in Kogi State” the Governor warned.
He advised them to continue to beef up security to ensure the well being of the people and promised to continue to synergies with security agent to ensure peace.
Responding the ALGON Chairman Mr Olutokun Tosin said they are ready to follow the blue print of the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to get rid of criminality and reassured Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo their preparedness to deal with any security breach.
Present at the security meeting were top government functionaries and the twenty one Local government caretaker Transition Chairmen.
