Kogi State Government has successfully trained over 40 Fire personnel with the recently procured modern Fire Engine to combat Fire emergencies in the State.
State Commissioner of Works, Samson Bako while addressing Newsmen in Lokoja said Gov. Yahaya Bello has done well to provide Global Standard Fire Facility with Foreign Trainers to ensure that the fire crisis in Kogi State is permanently resolved.

He advised the Trainees to inculcate a maintenance culture for sustainability and also charged them to imbibe the spirit of Teamwork for maximum performance.
The Commissioner also praised the Governor for providing the Fire Equipment.

In his words “As you can see, no leadership in Kogi state has done what Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello has done. You all know what happened when Pee Link Shop was gutted by fire, you are all aware of the Felele and Ochadamu fire incidences; nobody could help because there was no fire fighting facility in the state but today Gov. Bello has provided three modern Fire Engines. Is this not enough reason for us to vote for Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman come 11/11/2023?” he said.
Also speaking, the Managing Director of Intersave International from Pakistan, Syed Karim noted that Gov Bello has asked his company to provide the Global Standard Fire Training for the Fire Personnel in Kogi State.

He also charged the State to establish an International comprehensive Emergency Rescue System in Kogi State.
In a closing remark, Mr. Alabi Samuel on behalf of the DG of the State Fire Agency, thanked Governor Bello for the gesture and promised to engage his men for further in-house training.
