Central executive of Ganaja New layout Community says the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, will witness growth under its current Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Ademu.
Chairman of the Association, Engineer Tijani Abu Ademu made the remark when he led the executive on a congratulatory visit to the Chairman in his office at the NUJ Press Centre, Lokoja.
Engineer Tijani said the visit is to congratulate him on his election as Chairman of NUJ in Kogi State, describing the measure as a positive development to the community.
He described Alhaji Seidu as a man of honour who has consistently contributed to the growth of the community.
Also in their separate remarks, the Vice Chairman, Mr Samson Kolofo and Assistant Secretary, Comrade Monica Salifu, urged him to be exemplary in all things.
According to them, leadership can only be successful when there is good followership, hence he must strife to live above board.
They also advised him to carry everyone along, while members should support him to enable succeed.
Responding, the NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Ademu Seidu said the visit served as a morale booster.
Alhaji Seidu explained that members of the community have always shown love to all, irrespective of tribe, religion or status.
He assured that his leadership would ensure effectiveness even as he would work to remain a good ambassador of the ambassador
