A forum under the aegis of De-registered Political Parties has endorsed the Candidature of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh of Action Alliance, (AA) in Saturday’s Governorship Election in Kogi State.
Chairman of the Forum, Mr Godwin Atawodi
who made their position known while addressing newsmen in Lokoja, said members of the 35 deregistered political parties were endeared by the manifesto of the AA Governorship Flagbearer, making him the preferred Candidate.
He explained that while candidates make last minute permutations for votes, there was need for the people to make the right choice and that as deregistered political parties, they had large support base with structures still intact across the 239 wards.
Mr. Atawodi sought the need for the electorate to be cautious and vote in the candidate that could take the state out of its socio-economic woes.
The Forum promised to mobilize massive votes for Olayinka Braimoh who they said has the best agenda to develop the state’s Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture and Trade.
Responding, Kogi State Chairman of Action Alliance, Fred Ambo, described the move as a welcome development, describing it as an indication that the party would win Saturday’s election.
Ambo enjoined the Forum to do more in canvasing support for AA across the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.
