Newly appointed Provost of Kogi State College of Education Ankpa, Dr. Paul Femi Fashagba has assumed office with a promise to provide transformational academic excellence.
The new Provost, who received a rousing welcome from Staff, Students and supporters, assured of his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of staff and Students.
According to him, as part of his resolve to hit the ground running, he has declared a State of emergency on water and electricity which are two major challenges bedeviling the School.
Dr. Fashagba reiterated his willingness to partner with Alumni of the College in a bid to bring them back to contribute positively to the development of their Alma mater.
While expressing appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the confidence reposed in him with the appointment, the Provost solicited the support of the management and Staff to enable him to succeed.
The Outgone Provost, Dr. Muhammed Kabir said the appointment of Dr. Femi Fashagba was divine as only God gives power, congratulating the new Provost on his elevation.
Dr. Kabir promised to work with the new Provost where needed, urging the Staff to extend the same support given him to the new Chief Executive.
The new Provost immediately after taking over the affairs of the College paid a Traditional homage on the Eje Ankpa, Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu where the Paramount Ruler enjoined him to carry everyone along.
