Election: Kogi NYCN Appeals Committee Clears, Kabba-Bunu Coordinator Aspirant, Eseyin, Yagba East Aspirants To Contest

The Central Election Committee/Appeal Screening Committee of National Youth Council of Nigeria has commenced hearing on petitions arising from the forthcoming Local Government Chapters election of the Council.

 

The Committee during its meeting presided over by its Chairman, Comrade Haroun Opotu Yussuf considered petitions from Aspirants contesting for different positions in Kabba-Bunu, Yagba East and Ijumu Local Government Chapters.

 

The Committee cleared an Aspirant contesting for Kabba-Bunu Local Government Coordinator, Comrade Eseyin David Gbenga who was earlier disqualified by the Zonal Election Committee as they affirmed that he purchased the nomination form contrary to reports on the Social Media.

 

On the Petitions from Yagba East Local Government Chapter, the Committee cleared all Aspirants that purchased forms and attended screening exercises.

The Aspirants are; Barnabas David Ekundayo, Coordinator, Ayodele Olorunfemi, General Secretary, Moses Niyi Babatunde, Deputy Coordinator, Usman Musa Babatunde, Financial Secretary, Obanimoh Emmanuel Dada, Assistant General Secretary and Agnes Modupe Akani, Women Leader.

 

Others are; Muhammed Kehinde, Director Welfare, Bello Surajudeen Olayinka, Programme Officer, Paul Femi, PRO 1, Salami Temitope Moses, PRO 2, Paul Olorunleke, Director of Sport, Omoyele David Oluwaseyi, Assistant District Officer, Babalola Kayode, Organising Secretary, John Moses Temitope, District Officer one, while Promise Adeyemi is to serve as Treasurer.

 

It added that the Committee could not consider the Petition from Ijumu Local Government as the Petitioner did not purchase nomination form to contest.
