Ehebe Day celebration: Sen Ohere Eulogise Gov Yahaya Bello,Canvasses support for the clan’s house project

Sons and daughters of Ehebe clan in Agassa community of Okene Local Government Area have celebrated the maiden Ehebe Day with a charge to contribute their quota to the development of the clan, community and Area.

The Day is aimed at celebrating the achievements of their sons and daughters at home and in diaspora and to chart the way forward for the development of the clan, community and Area in general.

In a message to the occasion, the special guest of honor, Senator Abubakar Sadiq Ohere, represented by the Chief Medical Director of the Reference Hospital, Okene, Prof Solomon Avidime, congratulated all Ehebe sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora for giving the clan a good name and for the achievements they recorded in their various fields of endeavor.

Senator Ohere described Gov Yahaya Adoza Bello, who is a worthy son of the clan, as a great blessing to Kogi state and Nigeria, saying he is a ture leader who has done immensely for his people and the state at large.

According to him, throughout Governor Bello’s over 7 years in office, the entire state has witnessed meaningful development and transformation in all sectors of the State economy.

Worthy of note in the Central Senatorial District are verifiable projects which include the Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara, Secondary School projects, construction and rehabilitation of network of roads, water project and the Reference Hospital, Okene.

Senator Ohere stated that the climax of it all is the emergence of another worthy son of Ebira land, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who will succeed him as Governor of Kogi state come Jan. 27th.

While expressing appreciation to the Chief Host who is the Director-General, Govt House administration, Alhaji Shaibu Oricha and other invited guests for the opportunity to serve as special guest of honor at the occasion, he urged them to support the clan by donating generously towards the Ehebe House Project.

The House also used the privilege to congratulate Prof. Solomon Avidime on his appointment as the CMD of the Reference Hospital, Okene and praised him for his efforts at ensuring that the aim of establishing the world class medical facility in the state is achieved.

They prayed God to grant him the needed wisdom and uncommon ability to succeed in the assignment before him.

The Ehebe Day celebration featured speeches and good will messages as well as a lecture.
