The Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nana Hauwa Yusuff says the media friendly strategies adopted by the present administration have enhanced broadcasting.
The Director General stated this while speaking on her one year in office at the Radio house in Lokoja.
Princess Nana Yusuff said her achievement was made possible due to the emphasis directed to broadcasting industry by the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo by providing STL, effective Generator, electricity supply, solar installation and operational vehicles to the corporation.
She assured that the Radio will improve on its values in the coming year by projecting both the image and democratic structures established in the state to the outside world.
The Director General appealed to the Governor to provide more assistant for the state Radio to perform optimally.
She also appreciated the policies of government that has been impactful on the citizens, particularly Hajia Sefinat Ododo’s various empowerments to vulnerable women and youths across the State.
Princess Nana commended the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the prompt payment of salaries and other related remuneration which has brought some fresh air in the state.
The Director General expressed appreciation to the state Governor for giving her the opportunity to Excel in the plum position and praised the state commissioner of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo for his support during her first year in office.
In their separate remarks the Secretary of the corporation, Alhaji Sulaiman Dansofo, the Director News and Current Affairs Pastor Gowon Edibo and Director Programs, Hajia Habibat Umar Ibrahim congratulated the Director General on her one year achievement in office.
According to them, her leadership has been a refreshing wind of transformation in the radio house.The unity, professionalism, and renewed passion that now radiate among staff are all testaments to her visionary and inclusive leadership style which has uplifted the morale of every staff through her fairness, strength, and empathy.
Also speaking the Director Engineering Mr Sunday Otajele,Director Account Mr Awodi Daniel, Director Commercial services, Malam Baba Labaran and Director Administration Mr Jacob Toyin felicitated with the Director General on the occasion saying that a golden fish has no hiding place, describing her as a role model who has shown her quality within the short period in office.
They said she has proven beyond reasonable doubt as a mother who was able to manage the good and the bad and assured her of the renewed support and cooperation of the staff for the upliftment of the Organisation.
