The Director General, Project Monitoring Agency, Kogi State, Hon. Taufiq Isa, has called on Contractors handling projects in the state to ensure quality work.
Hon. Taufiq Isah made the call while Inspecting ongoing road projects in Lokoja.
He said the road is critical to the people of Lokoja metropolis and should be completed within the stipulated date.
According to the Director General, the purpose of the visit is to conduct an inspection and assessment of the roads condition and ensure compliance to specifications by the government.
The Head of the Monitoring Agency inspected Zone 8 round about – Barrack – GYB junction and Zone 8 junction – Crusher road project during the visit.
The contractor handling Zone 8 to Crusher, Tech Engineering Company assured the Director General of completing the job within the stipulated time of one year and promised to continue with the quality of work done so far.
The Director General, Hon Taufiq Isah also inspected ongoing construction of Obangede – Ogaminana – Okeoti through Uhuodo – Eyiododo community road projects in Okehi Local Government.
While addressing the contractors during the visit, the Director General assured that projects approved by the State government will be fully monitored to achieve value for money by the government.
The contractor handling the project assured the Director General that projects under their custody will be done according to government specifications.
