Abigail Ayindero-Oyenibi, Okene
Staff of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Teaching Hospital, Okene have been enjoined to sustain their dedication to duty for the growth of the hospital.
Commissioner of Health, Dr Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, gave the advice in a message to the end of year program of the hospital in Okene.
The Commissioner, who was represented by the Director of Pharmaceutical Services in the Ministry of Health, Pharmacist Muhammed Abdulrahaman, noted that the collective hard work by the staff helped the medical facility to attain progress at a higher level.



He commended the Chief Medical Director and the management team for their efforts at ensuring the growth of the hospital.
While thanking the entire staff for performing their duties excellently in the outgoing year, Dr Abdulazeez urged them to strive to do more in the coming year and move the hospital to greater heights.
In an address, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Anaje, said he had been observing developments in the hospital with keen interest and commended the CMD for his visionary leadership and commitment to the progress of the hospital.
The Ohinoyi said the growth of the hospital was evident to all and advised all the staff to sustain the tempo.
On his part, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Shaibu Stephen Babatunde, stated that the event was to enable staff unwind and relax after working hard throughout the year.
Dr Shaibu, expressed appreciation to former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for establishing the Reference Hospital which has transformed to a Teaching Hospital under the present administration, and thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining the vision.
While praising the present administration for its support to the hospital, he listed some achievements recorded by the government to include the construction of medical doctors quarters, students hostels, incinerator and wet scrubber, total overhaul of the hospital’s plumbing work, employment of medical officers and consultants as well as conversion of adhoc clinical staff to permanent status.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Head of Administration, Hajia Rabiat Sheidu, noted that the event was an opportunity to appreciate the staff for their hard work and dedication to duty as well as to look forward with deeper commitment to the forthcoming year.
Highlights of the occasion was cultural and drama presentation and awards to deserving staff members who performed exceptionally in the year.
