Democracy Day is not just a public holiday; it is a solemn reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the tenets of good governance, justice, and equality”Comrade Sunday David Adavize stated.
In a statement in Lokoja, Sunday David Adavize emphasized the critical role of Nigerian youths in strengthening democratic institutions.
“Democracy thrives on active participation, and the youth demographic, being the largest and most vibrant, holds the key to shaping the future of our state and nation,” he stated.
“As we celebrate this day, I urge every young person in Kogi State to reflect on how we can collectively contribute to a more inclusive, prosperous, and just society.”
He highlighted the need for youths to engage constructively in political processes, advocate for their rights, and hold leaders accountable.
Comrade Sunday David believes that a truly democratic society empowers its youth to be innovators, leaders, and agents of positive change, not just beneficiaries of policies noting that it is time for youths to move beyond mere spectatorship and become active drivers of their destiny.
As an aspirant for the Kogi State NYCN Chairmanship, Comrade Sunday David reiterated his commitment to empowering young people through various initiatives focusing on education, skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.
“My vision for the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Kogi State is to create a dynamic platform that amplifies the voices of young people, fosters their leadership potential, and provides them with the necessary tools to succeed and contribute meaningfully to our state’s development,” he added.
Comrade Sunday David urged all Kogi youths to remain steadfast in their pursuit of a better Kogi State and a stronger Nigeria.
