Comrade Onuh Edoka Bags Kogi Special Adviser 2024 Award

The Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka has bagged Kogi Special Adviser 2024 award for his outstanding contributions towards ensuring improved workers welfare in Kogi State.

The award was presented to Comrade Edoka at the 2025 The Nigerian Post Newspaper in conjunction with the Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Calabar Humanitarian Award.

In his remarks, the Editor in Chief The Nigerian Post Newspaper and Registrar Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Calabar Lokoja Chapter, Mr. Abu Michael, said the award is in recognition of Edoka’s contributions and positive impact to the society, particularly with emphasis to his contribution to creating an enabling environment for workers under the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo.

The Editor in Chief lauded his positive impact in the prompt payment of salaries, leave bonuses and other welfare packages that has helped in improving the living standards of the workers, pointing out that the Labour Leader and philanthropists stands out as most impactful in putting smiles on the faces of the people amongst Special Adviser’s in the State.

The Editor in Chief lauded the positive impact made by Comr. Edoka in the areas of empowerment, education, schemes for Youths and women, added that he he has personally and through other intervention provided succour in his Federal Constituency.

Making their separate remarks, the Commissioner of Police, Represented by ACP Idris Mohammed, the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Prof Salisu Usman Ogbo and the Director General Protocol, Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim and others described Edoka as a gift to the people of Kogi State as a whole.
