Christmas Celebration: Kogi Deputy Gov Hosts Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Alih Yusuf Ameh Adaji, Traditional Rulers

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, on Friday received Achadu-OkoAttah Igala, HRM Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji, in the company of the former assembly member representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Friday Sani Makama, along with traditional rulers and descendants of the royal family.

Accompanying the royal dignitary was the incumbent member representing the Igalamela/Odolu constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon Major Enefola, among other notable individuals.

A statement  by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Mr Unubi Emmanuel, noted that the Deputy Governor Joel Salifu praised the Traditional Rulers for the visit  expressing gratitude for their well-wishes during the festive season.

He assured them that he would convey their request to  Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to address their concerns.

Earlier the traditional ruler His Royal Majesty Alih Yusuf AmehAdaji said the visit to felicitate with  the Deputy Governor on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He also appealed to the government to elevate the status of some of their long-standing chiefs who are his descendants.
