The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has reaffirmed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) will not relent in its determination to protect citizens and safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity.
General Musa gave the assurance on Tuesday while receiving members of the Northern Bridge Builders Forum on a courtesy visit to the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
He commended the forum for its show of solidarity and described its members as patriotic Nigerians committed to fostering peace and unity. “Your encouragement boosts our morale. The Armed Forces remain resolute and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians,” the CDS said.

Earlier, the forum’s leader, Senator Joel Danlami Ikenya, praised the AFN for its immense contributions to national peace and stability, noting that improved security has allowed farmers to return to their fields, thereby boosting food production. He also cited the Abuja–Kaduna highway as a clear example of the military’s successes.
Senator Ikenya further distanced the forum from criticisms of the military by what he described as “uninformed individuals,” urging troops to sustain their momentum in the fight against insecurity.
The visit, according to the forum, was to reaffirm their support for the AFN and to encourage continued collaboration in building a safer, more united Nigeria
