The Care taker Chairman of Ofu Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammed Musa Lawal has called on the staff of the Local Government to be dedicated to their duties, saying that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to workers’ welfare.
Hon Lawal who made the call at the Local Government Secretariat, Ugwolawo in a meeting with the staff of the Local government, promised that this administration will take the matter of Staff’s well very serious.
In his speech, the Chairman advised the staff to cultivate the habits of coming to the office regularly, urging them to avoid the attitude of staying at home without coming to the office.
He said that it will be very embarrassing if a visitor comes to the secretariat and met most of the offices closed.
Earlier, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade James Degeli, thanked the Caretaker Chairman for his humility and commitment to the staff welfare, saying that the staff are ready to do every thing for the success of this administration.
In a remarks, the DPM, Mallam Muazu Alih thanked the Chairman for the encouragement given to the staff, adding that a word is enough for the wise.
In a remark, the SLG, Hon Labaran Ahmad said that workers in Kogi State are privilege, saying that right from the Governor, the Deputy Governor down to the members of Ofu care taker committee were carreer civil servants, adding that anybody who has worked as a civil servant before can never witch hunt the workers.
He urged the workers to be diligent in their service to the Local government, assuring that they will be rewarded accordingly.
