‎BDDA Lokoja End Of Year Get-together: Former Permanent Secretary Harps On Love, Unity

‎Patron of the Lokoja Branch of Biraidu District Development Association, BDDA, Elder John Ausa has emphasized the need for love and Godliness in order to attain an egalitarian society.

‎Elder John Ausa who is a retired Permanent Secretary in Kogi State, stated this on Sunday at the end of year get-together of the Association in Lokoja.

‎He noted that the society could only be better when love leads, stressing that the challenges facing the society are as a result of multiple reasons, calling on parents, governments at all levels,leaders, opinion moulders and traditional rulers to step up action in order to right the wrong.

‎The Patron also commended the leadership of BDDA at the national level and the Onu Abocho and paramount ruler of Biraidu, Chief Jonah Idris Okai for their commitment to addressing the several challenges facing the District, assuring that, God will always intervene in the affairs of men.

‎Elder Ausa said only God gives wealth, saying the provision of the food was to also appreciate God Almighty for his favour upon his family and the Association at large, urging members to always acknowledge the presence of God in all things.

‎Also speaking, the Acting Chairman of the Association, Comrade James Odaudu said the meeting was to x-ray the activities for the year and expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life.

‎Comrade Odaudu noted that the year was not without challenges, but thanked God that members were not consumed in whichever way, and appealed to members to show greater commitment in the coming year.

‎In their remarks, the former Personal Assistant to Late former Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu, Honourable Benjamin Wada, Retired Colonel Vincent Iyaji and former Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Akowe, all commended the spirit of Elder John Ausa for always standing by the meeting despite his age.

‎The Elder Statesmen described the outgoing year as a period of showing gratitude to God and promised to play their parts towards the growth and development of the Association and Biraidu District at large.

‎They prayed for longer life for the Patron and prayed that the security challenges in the nation will soon be a thing of the past.
