The Bunu Development Association has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for their proactive action and security measures in Bunu District
This is contained in a Communiqué issued at the end of an enlarged meeting of the Executive Members held at Okebukun.
The Communiqué which was signed by the BDA President, Pastor Johnson Kolawole and General Secretary, Chief Isaiah Ayo Durowaiye expressed satisfaction with the security measures as well as mechanism put in place towards the restoration of security of lives and property in the district.
The Association, particularly saluted the synergy between the Federal and Kogi State Government as well as the office of the National Security Agency (NSA) in tackling insecurity in the State.
The Group while paying glowing tributes to the gallant security personnel who lost their lives during the recent military clearing operation, especially Bunu district, commiserated with the Military, family of officers who lost their lives, wished the injured quick recovery.
The Association however passed a vote of confidence on their illustrious sons serving in the present administration of Gov Ododo for their performance in their various official duties.
It commended the State Security Adviser, retired Commander Jerry Omodara, Commissioner of Education, Wemi Jones, member representing Kabba-Bunu Constituency, Seyi Bello, Special Adviser on Security Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Moses Olorunleke and his Art and Culture counterpart, Juwon Olorunnipa Jumabe.
The Communique called on sons of Bunu district to assist in dissuading any threat through information sharing and reporting any activities that is inimical to the peace and security of the District.
