Bassa Cultural Development Union Gets New President

A New National President of Bassa Cultural Development Union Mr Manga Huleji Zache has been sworn in.

Speaking during the Ceremony the Chairman BCDU Advisory Committee, Mr Sunday Shigaba said the event is holding because the tenure of the former executive has ended.

In their separate speeches The Member Kogi State House of Assembly Mr Sunday Daku, the Fomer Commissioner of Budget Mr Paul Maiwada and the former House of Assembly Member Mr Rai Daniya, a woman Leader Mrs Zuma Sheneni pledged their support to the New President, Manga Huleji Zache and members of his executive.

The Elected National President Mr Manga Huleji Zache promised to promote activities that will strengthen the Unity of the people.

The National President Manga Huleji Zache called for the support of the former executives and the entire Bassa in the country to enable him succeed.

He Thanked the BCDU Advisory committee members for their Maturity in handling affairs of the Union and promised to consult widely.

The former National President of BCDU Barrister Yusuf Wodi represented by the Former secretary of the union, Gwatana Dogwo Congratulated the New BCDU Officials and called on them to work for the National Cohesion of the Bassa people especially Bassa of Nassarawa state.

Those Elected are Manga Huleji Zache as President, Vice President Dogwo Tashilani from Nassarawa state, Haruna A. Kure FCT, Assistant Secretary Daruwana Jimba from Benue while Abraham Gbaji was elected Public Relations Officer.

Highlights of the occasion was the handing over of the BCDU official documents to the new National President, Mr Manga Huleji Zache by the Chairman BCDU Advisory Committee, Mr Sunday Shigaba.
