APC Stakeholders Passes Vote Of Confidence On Caretaker Committee Chairman Of Igalamela-Odolu LGA

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Igalamela, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area have passed a vote of confidence on the transition Chairman of the Local Government, Hon (Barrister) Cosmos Ilemona Atabor.

The stakeholders have also applauded Barrister Cosmos Atabor for growing the internally generated revenue of the Local Government to appreciable level within the few weeks of assumption of Office.

The stakeholders arising from a meeting conveyed at the instance of a former Minister, Professor Stephen Ocheni and a former member of House of Representatives, Idah Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Ismail Ina Hussain, note that the transition Chairman of the Local Government has started very well.

Addressing the meeting, Professor Stephen Ocheni stated that there was a new era in the Local Government, given the various progressive efforts being put in place by the transition Chairman to tackle some challenges facing the area.

According to Professor Stephen Ocheni, “Hon Barister Cosmos Atabor is a capable and experienced hand to manage the affairs of our Local Government”.

” We wish to use this opportunity to profoundly thank the immediate past Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the present Governor Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo for the appointment of Barrister Cosmos Atabor”.

Professor Stephen Ocheni enjoined the people of the Community to play their supportive roles to enable the transition Chairman and his team to succeed, stating that Government needs a peaceful environment through the support and cooperation of the people in order to perform optimally.

A former member of the House of Representatives who represented Idah federal Constituency, Rt Hon Ismail Ina Hussain, said stakeholders of APC in the area are delighted with the performance of the transition Chairman within short period in Office, stating that stakeholders of APC in the Local Government would continue to rally round him to succeed in Office.

Rt Hon Ismail Ina Hussain advised the people to play their individual role to ensure the present administration in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government under Barrister Cosmos Atabor excel in Office, saying the transition Chairman is young, experienced, educated and humble and that he will leave up to the expectations of the people.

The transition Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Barrister Cosmos Atabor described the party stakeholders meeting from Igalamela axis as a welcome idea as it will enable all to be actively involved in the governance of the area, assures that his doors are widely opened for constructive criticism.

Barrister Cosmos Atabor while acknowledging the stakeholders for applauding his modest efforts in office so far, especially in internal revenue generation, assured that what has been generated would be judiciously utilized for the interest of the people of the Local Government.

The Chairman of the Party in the Local Government, Hon Musa Ochidi (Alilu Omor) and a prominent member of APC in Igalamela/Odolu, Chief Eunice Achimugu both commended Professor Stephen Ocheni and Rt Hon Ismail Ina Hussain for their inspiring and unwavering commitment to ensure the party succeed in the Local Government and the State as a whole.

They equally lauded the transition Chairman for the pragmatic steps taken to address developmental challenges in the Local Government, adding that they will do their utmost best to ensure a successful tenure for Barrister Cosmos Atabor.
