The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Nigerians on the New Year, expressing optimism that 2026 will usher in greater peace, unity and prosperity for the country.
In a New Year statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, on Thursday, the ruling party said the beginning of a new year offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment to Nigeria’s nation-building journey.
The APC noted that despite the challenges of the past year, there is renewed hope for a brighter and more secure future.
The party commended Nigerians for their resilience and continued support for the APC and the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, stating that ongoing reforms aimed at addressing long-standing challenges are beginning to yield positive results.
According to the APC, key economic indicators are showing signs of steady recovery, signalling a rebounding economy and a resurgent nation.
Describing the administration’s progress as a collective national achievement, the party urged Nigerians to take pride in the gains recorded so far, stressing that the success of the government ultimately translates to the success of the country and its people.
The APC also paid tribute to members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies for their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other forms of violent crime.
The party lauded their patriotism and dedication, while praying for their continued protection and success in safeguarding the nation.
Reaffirming its commitment in the new year, the APC pledged to work harder to justify the confidence Nigerians have placed in it, while maintaining continued support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The party said the reforms being implemented are restoring macroeconomic stability, improving infrastructure, boosting agricultural and oil sector output, and strengthening national security.
