The caretaker chairman of Ankpa Local Government Engineer Adamu Yahaya Mohammed has appealed to the health workers in Ankpa Local Government Area to be diligent and sincere in the distribution of drugs to the primary health care facilities in the thirteen wards of Ankpa Local Government Area.
Engineer Adamu stated this during the flag-off of the distribution of drugs to various wards across Ankpa Local Government Area.
Engineer Adamu Yahaya said the present administration under the leadership of the Governor of kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo values health status of the people and has decided to be at the forefront of improving quality health care services and aspiring to build a developed Kogi State through proper planning and adequate funding for health care services.
The caretaker chairman noted that health is vital to all humans and therefore deserves utmost attention, warning that any form of diversion by the health givers will not be treated lightly as accountability measures will be put in place to monitor the system against sales of the drugs.
In another development, the caretaker chairman also commissioned equipment for operation Keep Ankpa clean and urged the women who are saddled with the responsibility to be faithful in carrying out their duties to achieve the desired goals for which they have been appointed.
