Activities marking Football Game Night is to commence in Lokoja soon.

Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Monday A Anyebe stated this while inspecting ongoing renovation of the Lokongoma 5- aside Synthetic Football Pitch by a football lover Mr. Francis Ichado.

The Renovation is aimed at supporting the administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s passion for sporting activities in the State.
Speaking, Hon. Monday A Anyebe said the initiative of Mr Francis Ichado was commendable.

The Commissioner called on well to do individuals in the state to emulate the virtues of Mr Francis Ichado to enable the State succeed.

According to him, the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has an open door policy and appealed to well meaning people of Kogi State to work towards ensuring the growth and development of sports in the state.

The Commissioner stressed that night Games will commence as soon as renovation work was over.

Hon Monday A Anyebe expressed appreciation to Mr Francis Ichado for impacting his home and giving support to sporting activities.

Responding, Mr Francis Ichado said he embarked on the renovation work because of his love and passion for sporting activities as well as impacting the youths.

Mr Francis Ichado who described the present Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe as a workaholic noted with satisfaction his performance within a short time in office.

He stated that the commissioner’s performance gave him the courage to renovate the sports center and thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing Hon Monday A Anyebe as Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development.

Mr Ichado promised to hand over the facility to the state government as it is capable of improving the revenue of the state.
