Acting CMD Kogi State Specialist Hospital Assumes Office, Vows to Prioritize Healthcare, Excellence and Staff Welfare

The Acting Chief Medical Director of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Dr. Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, officially took office today, March 10, 2024, with a firm commitment to advancing quality healthcare and improving staff welfare.

Speaking at a brief handing-over ceremony, Dr. Folagbade pledged to uphold the vision of the hospital’s founding fathers while executing the mandate of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, in delivering accessible and efficient healthcare services to the people of Kogi State.

He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ododo for entrusting him with the hospital’s leadership, promising to lead with dedication, transparency, and excellence.

“As someone deeply familiar with this institution, I understand the challenges and aspirations of our staff. My priority is to foster a supportive and conducive work environment where everyone can thrive,” Dr. Folagbade stated.

He introduced a guiding watchword for his administration, encapsulated in the acronym “CARE”:

C – Communication/Commitment

A – Availability/Punctuality

R – Relationship

E – Expertise

Emphasizing inclusivity, Dr. Folagbade assured staff that he would operate an open-door policy, ensuring fairness and equal treatment for all, regardless of tribe, religion, or rank.

Staff in their  goodwill messages, pledged their cooperation and support for the new Acting CMD as he embarks on this transformative programmes.
