The leading aspirant for the forth coming Local Government election and the immediate past caretaker chairman of Mopamuro LGA Hon Ademola Bello Destiny have been honored with one of the highest chieftaincy title in Amuro kingdom known as GBELUNIYI in Amuro kingdom.
The paramount ruler of Amuro, HRM Oba Engr Alfred Modupe Aiyedogbon said the chieftaincy title was confirmed on the former council boss as a result of his contributions and development to the area.
The monarch appreciated the former caretaker chairman Hon Ademola Bello Destiny for providing dividend of democracy to his people at the grassroots level when he was caretaker chairman.
He described the former council boss as a God fearing man and one that has passion for development.
The traditional ruler commended the former Caretaker Chairman for performing excellently well in terms of infrastructures, health, Education, agriculture and security.
In his remarks, the former council boss thanked the Alamuro of Amuro land, HRM Oba Engineer Alfred Modupe Aiyedogbon and the good people of Amuro for finding him worthy for the title.
Hon Ademola Bello Destiny assured the people of Amuro land and Mopamuro LGA as a whole of more dividend of democracy to his people.
The former council chairman used the forum to appreciate the former governor and the incumbent governor of kogi state Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for giving him the golden opportunity to serve the good people of Mopamuro LGA.
The former council boss thanked all his party leaders and friends for celebrating with him.
In her remarks, the Director of Local Government administration in the area Mrs Elizabeth Job congratulated the former caretaker chairman for the title.
She said that the title given to her boss is well deserved and praised him for having the interest of the people at heart.
Dignitaries across the globe were also in attendance to witness the ceremony.
The events witnessed cultural display, award presentations.
