New Radio Kogi DG Receives Appointment Letter

Kogi State Government says it is making frantic effort to ensure that the State Radio remains the best in the State and the country.

The Commissioner of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo stated this while presenting appointment letter to the new Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation in his office.

The Commissioner, said the choice of Hajia Nana was based on her competence, capacity and ability to lead the Radio to the next level.

According to him, the new Director General was coming at a time when the government was working on providing a twenty four hour power supply to the Station.

Fanwo while expressing optimism that the new DG will achieve more, assured of the Ministry’s support to ensure the State Radio to remain the best in the Broadcast industry.

He noted that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is proud to appoint the first female Director General for the State and urged management and Staff to give her the necessary support.

The Commissioner, who was emotional about the leaving of the outgoing Director General, applauded him for his innovation, dedication and loyalty to the service of the government and people of Kogi State.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Teddy Adegbola congratulated Hajia Hauwa Nana Yussuf on her appointment and wished her success in the task ahead of her.

Also speaking, the outgoing DG, Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozovehe expressed gratitude to the state Government for the confidence reposed in him to serve the State, saying he is eternally grateful.

Alhaji Ojo Oyila, who felicitated with his successor, urged her to be guided by truth, equity and fairness in the discharge of her duty.

Responding, Hajia Nana Hauwa Yussuf expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo and the Commissioner for the trust reposed in her and promised not to disappoint them.

On Tuesday this week, Hajia Nana Hauwa Yussuf was appointed the Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation.

Until her appointment, Hajia Hauwa Nana Yussuf was the Director Commercial Services of the State Broadcasting Corporation, a Masters Degree Holder in International Relations and a fellow of Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, ARPA.
