Gov Ododo Advocates Community Solidarity For Progress Of Nigeria

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has called for community solidarity and sacrifices for the progress of the country.

Governor Ododo made the call while speaking with journalist after observing his two rakat prayers at the Check point praying ground in Okene.

Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid el Kabir or the Festival of Sacrifice, to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.

Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and it marks the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

Inline with the celebration the Check point Eid praying ground in Okene Local Government Area was agog with Muslim faithfuls dressed in their Sallah cloth to celebrate the occasion

,The state governor and top government officials were not left out as it is the first for Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo since assumption of office.

Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo advised well to do individuals and those in positions of authority to remember the less privilege as they celebrate the occasion.

The Governor said the purpose of paying workers their salary before the due date was to make them celebrate Sallah with ease in view of the current increase in goods and services.

He said reducing untold hardship of the people is part of the state government responsibility to give back to the people.

Governor Ododo Commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the security agent in their efforts at rescuing the adopted CUSTECH Students and reiterated his administrations efforts at ensuring the safety of life and property of the people.

The governor who spoke in his native dialect appreciated the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alhaji Muhammad Anaje and the Imam of Ebira land for sustaining the peace in the Land.

In his Sallah Sermon, the Imam of Ebira Land Sheik Salihu Abere admonished the people to inbibe the spirit of sacrifice.

He noted that the essence of killing rams or goat is to share with those that can not afford it and urged the people to pray for those in authority at all times.
