Kogi Speaker, Aliyu Umar Yusuf Appointed PCRC Zone Eight Patron,Elder Aaron H.Ali Emerge State Chairman

The Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Aliyu Umar Yusuf has been appointed as patron of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC)for Zone Eight Police Command.

The National Chairman Police Community Relations Committee,Alhaji Mogaji Ibraheem Olaniyan announced the appointment at the election of State officials of the organization in Lokoja.

The PCRC also appointed the Deputy Speaker, Mrs Comfort Nwuchiola Egwuaba as matron of the organization for the State Command.

Others are Shehu Ochidi Member, representing
Dekina/Biraidu Constituency as
PCRC Patron for Kogi State Police Command and Comfort Onoja as Special Assistant to Zone 8 Chairman on Media and Publicity.

Earlier in an election of members to run the affairs of the Police Community Relations Committee, Elder Aaron H. Ali emerged as chairman.

Other elected officials include Alhaji Ibrahim Danzumi Tijani, State Deputy Chairman, Samuel Sunday Etuh, State Vice Chairman, Deacon Omeife Monday E,
State Deputy Secretary and
Comrade Oloninijo Emmanuel Olusegun as State Treasurer.

The rest are Oluwatimilehin Gbeja Daniel, State P. R. O.,Dr. Bojuwon Bolaji, State Financial Secretary, Alhaji Lawal Haruna,
State Auditor and Mallam Abdullahi Omede, State Provost Marshal among others.

In his acceptance speech, the State Chairman of PCRC, Elder Aaron H. Ali praised the members for giving him opportunity to serve and promised to reposition the organization to live up to expectation.

Elder Aaron said the PCRC in the State will champion effective synergy with the Police and the public for crime prevention and rid the State of crime.

He promised to use his new office to bring on board stakeholders that will assist the organisation to live up to expectation.

The PCRC was established in May 1984, by late IGP ETIM IYANG to enhance cordial working relationship between Nigeria Police and members of the Public for the purpose of enhancing Community Relations to rid the society of crime.
