Businesswoman, Mrs. Maryam Audu Donates Writing Materials To Kogi Schools

A Businesswoman, Mrs. Maryam Audu has donated writing materials to some Schools in Lokoja, the State capital.

The Businesswoman, while speaking to Newsmen shortly after donating the items said, the gesture was part of her commitment to giving back to the society.

Following the current economic situation in the country, Mrs. Maryam Audu, a businesswoman, who hails from Ofu Local Government was in Lokoja on Thursday to distribute wriring materials to some primary schools.

The schools include, Saint Mary LGEA Primary School, LGEA Primary School Two Kabawa, Model LGEA Primary School, Cantonment and Saint Luke’s 3 Adankolo.

Speaking with Newsmen after the distribution exercise, Mrs. Audu noted that the gesture was to provide support to pupils in view of the current economic hardship.

According to her, the donation was part of her support to the present administration in the State as government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility of developing the State.

She called on well-to-do individuals in the State to support the development of education in the State, urging the benefiting pupils to take their studies with all seriousness.

Some of the Pupils, Miracle Friday and Yahaya Zainab, who were filled with joy expressed gratitude to Mrs. Audo for the gesture and prayed God to reward her.

The Heae Teacher of Saint Mary LGEA Primary school, Mrs. Elizabeth Amupitan and that of Saint Luke Adankolo, Hajia Rekiya Ladidi described the donation as timely and expressed gratitude to the donor.
