The Care taker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa Lawal has enjoined the people of Ofu Local Government Area to pray for the success of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in order to bring more relief to the People of Kogi State.
Hon Lawal made the pronouncement at the Local Government Secretariat, Ugwolawo during the flag off ceremony of the food relief, supplied to Ofu Local Government Area by the state ministry of Humanitarian Afairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
The Care taker Chairman who commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his transparency in Governance, charged all the ward Chairmen and polling unit leaders to also be transparent in the distribution of the food items given to their wards and Units respectively ,noting that he will conduct the Supervision of the distribution of the palliative himself.
He urged the people of Ofu Local Government Area to be more hopeful , stressing that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is a people oriented Government.
Earlier, the representative of the Ministry of Humanitarian Afairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Mr Attah Friday applauded the Care taker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Muhammed Musa for his cooperation, saying that the State government has brought the palliative for the purpose of cushioning the effect of the hardship on the people.
Mr Attah said that the food items are not meant for the few wealthy people in the Local Government, noting that the palliative is meant for the generality of the people of Ofu Local Government Area.
In a remarks, the APC Chairman, Ofu Local Government Area, Hon Yahaya Sagari, assured the Care taker Chairman that APC officials will ensure that the palliative go down to the expected people.
He added that the people of Ofu Local Government Area will continue to support the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to succeed.
