A former Minister, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni has described the passing away of an elder state man from Ajaka in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Alhaji Abu Echeyi(Abu Obe) as a huge loss to the people of the area and beyond.
Professor Stephen Ocheni made the remark while reacting to the news of the passing away of the octogenarian in a condolence message to the family.
While paying tribute to the deceased, the former Minister remarked that the late octogenarian exemplified love, compassion and always ready and willing to assist without discrimination.
He particularly acknowledged the late Alhaji Abu Obe’s sustained efforts towards a greater and prosperous Igalamela community and the Local Government as a whole.
Professor Stephen Ocheni maintained that the deceased lived a glorious and fulfilled life worthy of emulation, urging the family to take solace in the exemplary life of their late father, which has been attested to by all and sundry.
The former Minister prayed to God to give the family of the late octogenarian the courage and grace to cope with the loss, and eternal rest to the soul of the deceased.
The late Alhaji Abu Echiye, popularly known as Alhaji Abu Obe died last week following an illness at his in residence in Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, the eight day prayers for the deceased comes up on Friday at his residence in Ajaka, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area at nine o’clock in the morning.
A statement by a son of the deceased, Doctor Musa Ayeh Abu, who is a Lecturer with the Federal Polytechnic Idah, enjoined invited guests to be punctual to the ceremony.
