Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo has charged Christians to imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice and forgiveness just like Jesus Christ.
The Commissioner gave this charge while giving his felicitation message to the Christians on the occasion of Easter Celebration which signifies the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In his words, “as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ we must imbibe and exhibit the spirit of love, sacrifice and forgiveness as Christ Himself exemplified, even on the cross.”
Hon. Fanwo enjoined the citizenry to celebrate wisely and show love to one another. He as well encouraged them to pray for the state and the nation at large for a robust development and growth.
“Between Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection were profound emotions, grief and anticipation that must have filled the hearts of those who followed Him. But at the end He rose up triumphantly to give us life, victory over death and everlasting joy. Indeed, in our lives, we also have such moments/periods of waiting, uncertainty or grief. This signifies clearly that even in the stillness, God is at work. As we navigate our own seasons of waiting as an individual, state and nation, we can find solace in knowing that God’s plans unfold in His perfect timing.” Hon. Fanwo said.
The Commissioner reassured the people of the state on His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s mandate towards developing the state to become one of the best in the country. He therefore, encouraged the citizenry to give the people’s governor the maximum supports required to move the state forward.
