Director General, Government House Administration, Lokoja Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu has felicitated with Kogites especially Christian faithful as they celebrate this year’s Easter, which is the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His death on the cross of calvary.

Oricha in his Easter message issued by his Media Aide, Balogun Omeiza David, noted that “behaving good towards ones neighbours, giving selfless services and remaining patient even when there is need to be provoked were among the several lessons taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ and his resurrection.”

Oricha reminded Kogites that the events leading to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will remain monumental in the chronology of Christianity and humanity. He therefore urged every Kogites to ponder on how best to positively impact the lives of friends, colleagues, neighbours and family members which will surely lead to the anticipated utopian society we always dream of.

He said, “As we join our Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate Easter, I am extending my best wishes to all Kogites especially Christians across the length and breadth of our dear state and other parts of the world.”

In addition he said, “As we mark this year’s Easter, I want to urge Christian faithful to emulate morals of humilitude, long-suffering and tenderheartedness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.”

He added  that, “This period offers us an opportunity to rejig our relationships as individuals, as communities and as a nation seeking for the attention of God Almighty. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is all about love, affection and tolerance. It also marked the end of anything related to evil and beginning of good deeds that should now be our order of doing things.”

While commending Kogites for their steadfastness, resilience and cooperation with the present administration of Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo since his assumption of office, Oricha reassured government’s total commitment to good governance and people-oriented programmes.

The Government House Administrator who prayed for more Easter celebrations in sound health and prosperity in the years to come, also counselled Kogites to avoid uttering negative words against their leaders and the state at large. He was of the opinion that those fond of saying nothing good can come out of Kogi State should desist from such if they really want to be partakers of the many positives that is deposited in the state.
