The Senator representing Kogi East, Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has distributed bags of rice to his constituents.
The distribution of the items which took place at Echocho’s residence in Anyigba, Kogi State, was made to benefit thousands of people cutting across all the wards in the nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) that constitute Kogi East.
A statement by his Media Aide, Mikail Ibrahim on Friday disclosed that the rice were distributed to the People of the State irrespective of Political affiliations, in an attempt to allow the Christian to celebrate Easter and the Muslim Faithful to continue the Ramadan fasting with relative ease.
According to the arrangement by the Senior Legislative Aide to the Lawmaker, Abubakar Rajab, 3,000 Households were targeted across the 9 Local Government Areas.
He explained that more than 95% of the rice were transported to various local government areas of the state, making it easy for the beneficiaries to get them in the shortest possible time.
Rajab also maintained that beneficiaries must be the needy, especially orphans, widows, and divorcees, urging the people to continue in prayers for the Lawmaker, the state, and the country as a whole.
Recall that two weeks ago, the Senator rewarded over 2,700 beneficiaries with #20,000 cash palliative cut across Kogi East.
In a statement by the Senior Legislative Aide, disclosed that the first phase of Sen Isah-Echocho’s #100,000,000 cash empowerment scheme will also commence next week.
