The branch Chairmen of both National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Comrade Gbenga Joseph and his counterpart in the Medical and Health Workers Union Comrade Olajide Adeyemo have passed a vote of confidence on the Caretaker Chairman of Mopamuro LGA, Hon Ademola Bello Destiny.
The union leaders and their executives passed the vote of confidence on the caretaker chairman during a familiarization visit to chairman in his office.
They thanked the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for making the right choice by appointing Hon Ademola Bello Destiny to pilot the affairs of Mopamuro LGA.
The union leaders praised the caretaker chairman Hon Ademola Bello Destiny for the equitable and just distribution of the palliatives given to the council by Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
They specifically thanked the council boss for giving top priority to staff welfare and used the forum to commend him for connecting the council secretariat to national grid and ensuring the rehabilitation of motorized borehole at the council secretariat.
The union leaders also praised him for giant strides recorded in just two months in office and assured him of total support and cooperation at all times and prayed for him for more wisdom and strength to take Mopamuro LGA to an enviable heights.
In his remark, the caretaker chairman of Mopamuro LGA Hon Ademola Bello Destiny, thanked the union leaders for the visit and promised to lead with the fear of God.
The council boss informed them of his readiness to bring democracy closer to his people and assured them that one of his agenda among many is staff welfare.
Hon Ademola Bello Destiny used the forum to appreciate the Governor of Kogi State for giving him the golden opportunity to serve his people.
He urged the union leaders to appeal to staff to avoid truancy and rumor mongering saying that to whom much is given, much is expected.
The council boss called for dedication to duty and hard work stressing that all hands must be on desk to ensure that they give maximum support, loyalty and cooperation to the government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
