As the world Celebrates International Women’s Day, women in Gaza are being massacred in cold blood under the control of the Israeli as revealed by the United Nations Women UN with facts to prove that the war on Gaza is also a war on women following the fact that, an estimated 9,000 women have been reportedly killed by Israeli forces in Gaza to date, adding that this figure is likely an underestimate, as many more women are reported to be dead under the rubble
The Ambassador of Palestine to Nigeria, Abdullah Shawesh in his weekly update in Abuja on the situation of the genocidal killing in Gaza said the war in Gaza continues on a daily basis, lamenting that an average of 63 women will continue to be killed every day.
Shawesh while speaking on the facts by UN said estimated 37 mothers are killed every day, leaving their families devastated and their children with diminished protection.
According to him, “More than 4 out of 5 women report that their family eats half or less of the food they used to before the war began, with mothers and adult women being those tasked with sourcing food, yet eating last, less, and least than everyone else.”!
The Ambassador revealed that On the 153 day of the frenzy genocidal war against the Palestinian people, 12 Palestinian prisoners have been killed in the last 153 days, including Ahmad Qadeeh, a 78-year-old who was detained with his family on February 7 and subjected to torture. Adding that no one is safe until everyone in Gaza is safe.
Speaking on the Gazans prisoners, he said according to Haaretz, the Israeli newspaper, “27 Gaza detainees have died in custody at Israeli military facilities since the outbreak of the war.
” This means that the death toll of Palestinian prisoners is 39 since the eruption of the current Israeli genocidal war”.
The envoy who decried the Massacre of February 29 by Israeli forces who opened heavy fire on a group of Gazans that gathered to receive humanitarian aid. Which resulted in the deaths of over 115 innocent Palestinians in just a few minutes.
The European Union (EU) who described the fairing by the Israeli soldiers against the Palestinian civilians unjustifiable said more than hundred civilians were killed and many others wounded when desperately trying to get food from a convoy,
He said that,” the EU request for impartial international investigation on the tragic event allowing for a clear picture of the event.
As of today, being the 153 days, the Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while 60°o of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.°
