The Transition chairman Igalamela Odolu LG Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor has admonished various ethnic groups in the Local Government to embrace peace with one another to enable the Government fast track rapid development in the area.
Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor made the assertion at the interactive meeting with the Fulanis community in Igalamela Odolu LG recently at Ajaka.Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor who stated that no meaningful development would be achieved in the atmosphere of rancour and acrimony called on the Fulanis to peacefully coexist with other ethnic groups particularly the host community, the Tivs, the Ibos so as to enjoy government support at all levels.
Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor who posited that every ethnic group have good and bad people as such it is pertinent for all the ethnic groups to work
in harmony to expose the bad ones stressing that such collaboration would reduce crime and criminality drastically in the LG. Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor called on all and sundry especially the Fulanis who live in the bush to avail the security agents with useful informations that could lead to the arrest of criminals as they normally come through the bush to cause havoc.
Responding, the chairman Fulani community Igalamela Odolu LG Alhaji Ademu Yajo expressed delight over the meeting and commended the Transition chairman Hon Barr Cosmas Atabor for the pragmatic forsight with which he pilot the affair of the LG.
