Corps Members posted to Kogi State have been advised to avoid friends with questionable character during and after their service year.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe gave the advice during the Twenty Twenty Four Batch A Stream One closing ceremony Corps members posted to the state at the Permanent Orientation Camp Asaya in kogi state.
Hon Monday A Anyebe urged the Corps members to be security conscious and maintained vigilance at all times.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development also avoid keeping late at night outside their houses and unauthorized journeys out of their places of primary assignment.
Hon. Monday A Anyebe advised them to also avoid use of social media for propaganda of fake News, hate, rumours and other negative vices and enjoined them to use the social media to promote unity and peace in the state and the society at large.
He called on them to be good ambassadors of the NYSC scheme, their families and the Nation at large.
The Commissioner said the present Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will ensure their safety at all times saying Kogi State is full of hospitality and advised them to be dedicated and hardworking.
He congratulated the Corps members for their successful completion of their educational Career and urged them to be disciplined in their various places of assignment.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation to the staff and management of the NYSC for their commitment to successful prosecution of the Twenty Twenty Four Batch A Stream One orientation course and also commended all other collaborative agencies for a job well done.
Hon Monday A Anyebe said the present administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to support the scheme at all times in the state.
The state Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs. M. A Williams charged the Corps members to be good ambassadors of the scheme in their various places of primary assignments.
The state Coordinator called on the state Government to come to their aid by fencing the Permanent Orientation Camp Asaya for the safety of Corps members.
